House Beautiful Paint Photoshoot.

Role: Art Direction, Style Boards, Set Design & Planning, On-set Direction and Retouch notes

House Beautiful had developed a paint range and they needed a large number of aspirational images to illustrate the colours and inspire their customers.

Mid-tones to all tones

With 72 paint shades in the range, 72 images were required to illustrate. However the budget would not stretch to 72 unique images, so 18 unique images were captured, each of these were retouched 4 times to create five images from one.

Modular and flexible.

To create diversity within the images we developed modular sets, using a number of appropriate architectural features to emulate a variety of home environments. We then created a style board for each unique asset with assigned paint colours, set elements and large props. Smaller props were selected to work with all the retouched paint changes.

House Beautiful were over the moon with the variety of style, the standard of execution and the creative use of the budget.
