Sanctuary Spa - Me Time

Role: Art Direction, Storyboards and Script Writing

I worked with Sanctuary Spa on stills and video for their new range of Vitamin C skincare. I was briefed to come up with storyboards for two brand mood films and concepts for accompanying product and model stills. I was in creative control of the project from conception to completion.

Make the most of your ‘me’ time

The client was keen to focus on the enjoyment and restorative importance of making time for yourself. The creative needed to focus on rejuvenation and relaxation rather than the product ingredients - they wanted something more subtle than "just a load of oranges"!

The mood films.

Based on the client’s market research and target demographics it was clear that the films needed a broad appeal. Some women had time to focus on self-care, others did not. I created two distinct moods around which to develop the 'me time' concept; Energy and Strength.

For Energy we selected a young, fun, vibrant model to create a feeling of enjoyment and living in the moment with plenty of time for self indulgence. For Strength we chose a more mature model who has a busy family life, so needs to make more effort to indulge in a bit of 'me' time every day.

Energy.

Fresh faced and full of energy, the person this film focusses on enjoys life and it’s her morning ‘me’ time which sets her up and keeps her mood positive and her life good.

Strength.

This person doesn’t have so much time to indulge and make time for herself, but the ease of use of the Sanctuary products means that it’s simple to fit into a busy routine and still take care of yourself.
